The G.O.A.T

Rush Sports Director, Greg Minnaar once again delivered an absolutely sensational performance to clinch a record breaking 22nd Downhill World Cup victory at Friday's penultimate round of the 2020 UCI World Cup DH season in Lousã, Portugal.

Just 48 hours later at the season's final round the G.O.A.T. stormed into the Hot-Seat despite the damp, greasy conditions with just one rider left in the start hut - the tenacious Loic Bruni, one of the legion of flying frenchmen who can never be underestimated.

As Bruni crossed the line, Minnaar found himself on the wrong side of a minuscule 0.17s time difference, sliding into P2 while Bruni claimed a hard fought win. It was racing at it's finest and had the MTB world on the edge of their seats!

From everyone at Rush Sports and South Africa at large, thanks Mr Min for being an inspiration to us all. Here's to the 2021 season and the hunt for WIN No. 23!!!

The World's Best Downhill Team

Despite the global uncertainly and unfamiliar season format, the most successful team in the history of downhill were able to find their groove winning 3 of the season's 4 races in emphatic style that is synonymous with The Santa Cruz Syndicate.

The team's consistency earned them the honour of being crowned the world's best Downhill Team in 2020, rich reward for setting the sport alight this year. The title will no doubt be extra motivation going into the off-season to keep the drive alive and burst out of the start gate in 2021 with the aim of retaining the podium's top step.

The Syndicate's Final 2020 Standings:
